From a multi-layered landscape to a permeable settlement: the new district is structured by a distinctive network of open spaces. With the “Riet landscape belt”, a generous open space with natural and recreational functions runs through the area from south-east to west. On its way through the neighbourhood, the belt becomes a gateway to the landscape, a neighbourhood veranda, a central belt of open space between more urban residential buildings and, finally, the edge of the settlement, which acts as an open structure between the new suburban neighbourhood and the surrounding area.
